From what concerns cycling in the city, Lisbon is behind schedule. You can blame the topography, since it’s called the city of seven hills. But people tend to be persistent and we can see already the first steps. Or should I say the first wheels?
The urban plan of the city is already considering bicycles alongside with cars and public transportations. Things are starting to change and there is already a bike path in the main axes of the city. I think we can say with confidence that the bicycle is taking the win over the seven hills.
I wonder what the city will look like in 5 years, with the increasing number of supporters of this tendency.
All the best from Lisbon,
